For whatever reason you have totally dropped the ball on your Halloween costume this year. Usually you are on top of things and put together a really creative costume that everyone loves. All the costume stores are sold out on anything good at this point, but don’t worry! There are plenty of things you can throw together in your dorm room or apartment to create a unique DIY costume in the nick of time.
Greek God or Goddess
All you need for this costume is your bed sheets, some make up, and a leafy headband. You can wrap a sheet around your body in multiple different ways, finding something that looks great shouldn’t be too difficult. Add some gold or silver glittery makeup around your eyes, put a few leaves in your hair, and you are good to go! This is also a great costume idea for students who are on a budget.
This costume is a classic and very easy to put together. All you need is your shower robe, some flip flops, and sunglasses. If you have shorter hair you can just mess it up or invest in a wig.
A plaid shirt, a pair of jeans, boots, and a straw hat (if you have one) can come right out of your closet for this one. If you don’t have a straw hat you can improvise with a fedora or any other type of hat you think would work. To take the costume one step further add some makeup and put some straw in your pockets.
What college student doesn’t have some tie-dye clothes laying around? Add some accessories like a head band, lots of jewelry, and tie it all together with some bell bottoms. Make sure to throw the peace sign up as much as possible.
Tuck your shirt in and part your hair. Add some makeshift broken glasses and act goofy all night.
Find some of the oldest raggedy clothes you can find. The makeup is what really makes this costume. You need a pale face with dark circles around your eyes, tease your hair, and you can add some fake blood (lipstick.) Rub some dirt on your shirt and you are good to go!
This is a quick and easy costume for any true sports fan. Throw on one of your favorite jerseys, some athletic pants, and sneakers. You can also draw on some black lines under your eyes and if you have a sweat band laying around you can put that on too.
Addams Family Member
If you have a lot of black in your closet this costume should be no problem, no matter which character you decide to go with.
An oversized white button down shirt, tall white socks, and sunglasses are all you need for this costume. If you’re brave enough you can go with the whitey tighty bottoms, but if not you can substitute any pair of shorts.
Wrap yourself in some sturdy toilet paper and you are all set. If you leave your face open you can add some dark makeup around your eyes to further the effect of being dead.
