The University of Northern Colorado campus is located in Greeley and was founded in 1889. The university offers over 100 academic programs including nursing, business, education, and performing arts. UNC also offers the University College for students unsure of what they want to major in, a Graduate School, and an Extended Campus with online courses for students with busy schedules. The school is attended by more than 11,500 students annually with plenty to do. UNC offers over 150 clubs and organizations as well as 20 Greek organizations for students to participate in. In 2015 the Carnegie Foundation awarded the university with the Community Engagement Classification.
Greeley is an up and coming town in Colorado. There is plenty to do either downtown or in the creative district. There are also a few museums in town including the Greeley History Museum and the Centennial Village Museum. Greeley is a great location being only a short drive to the city in Fort Collins and Denver, and not too far from the many ski mountains that Colorado has to offer.
